Show Notes

Pride alienates us from God and others. Humility is the path to deeper fellowship with God and others, as well as to true Christlikeness and fruitful ministry. Dr. Jerry Root, Associate Professor at Wheaton College and the Director of the Billy Graham Center for Evangelism, explores the nature of pride and how to grow in humility. He describes pride as scoliosis of the soul and explains that forsaking pride is essential in order to embrace humility and servanthood. This talk was given on December 6, 2014 to the C.S. Lewis Institute Fellows of Chicago at the historic Moody Church.
